Dr. Faisal Sultan is a Pakistani entrepreneur and medical professional who is currently serving as the Special Assistant to the Prime Minister of Pakistan on National Health Services, Regulations and Coordination.
Dr. Sultan completed his medical education in Pakistan before moving to the United States to pursue further studies. He earned his Master’s degree in Public Health from Johns Hopkins University and completed his residency in Internal Medicine at the University of Virginia.
After completing his medical training, Dr. Sultan worked as a practicing physician in the United States for several years before returning to Pakistan in 2010. He co-founded the Shaukat Khanum Memorial Cancer Hospital and Research Centre, a state-of-the-art cancer hospital that provides free treatment to cancer patients in Pakistan.
In addition to his work at the hospital, Dr. Sultan has been actively involved in promoting entrepreneurship and innovation in Pakistan’s healthcare sector. He has served as a mentor to several healthcare startups and has been a frequent speaker at international conferences and forums.
In 2020, Dr. Sultan was appointed as the Special Assistant to the Prime Minister of Pakistan on National Health Services, Regulations and Coordination. In this role, he has been working to develop and implement policies to improve healthcare services in Pakistan and to address the challenges facing the country’s healthcare system.
Dr. Sultan is also a member of several professional organizations, including the American College of Physicians, the American Society of Clinical Oncology, and the European Society for Medical Oncology. He has been recognized for his contributions to healthcare and entrepreneurship in Pakistan and has received several awards, including the Sitara-i-Imtiaz, one of Pakistan’s highest civilian awards.
