Hamza Jawaid and Saad Jangda are the co-founders of Bazaar Technologies, a Pakistani startup that operates an online grocery delivery platform.
Hamza Jawaid grew up in Karachi and later moved to the United States, where he attended the University of Pennsylvania and received a Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science. He went on to work as a software engineer at Google and later at Uber, where he focused on developing new products and services for the company’s transportation platform. In 2018, he co-founded Bazaar Technologies with Saad Jangda.
Saad Jangda also grew up in Karachi and attended the University of Texas at Austin, where he received a Bachelor’s degree in Management Information Systems. He worked as a product manager at Google and later at Facebook, where he focused on developing new products and services for the company’s advertising platform. In 2018, he co-founded Bazaar Technologies with Hamza Jawaid.
Together, Hamza and Saad recognized the potential of e-commerce in Pakistan and set out to build a platform that could help consumers access fresh groceries and household essentials at affordable prices. They developed a mobile app that allows customers to browse a wide selection of products, place orders, and receive delivery within hours. The app uses machine learning algorithms to optimize pricing and inventory management and has quickly become one of the most popular online grocery delivery platforms in Pakistan.
