Jahangir Siddiqui is a prominent Pakistani entrepreneur, philanthropist, and investor. He was born on July 26, 1948, in Hyderabad, Pakistan.

Siddiqui completed his early education in Hyderabad and then moved to Karachi to attend the Institute of Business Administration (IBA), where he earned a Bachelor of Commerce degree. He went on to complete his Master of Business Administration (MBA) from the University of California, Los Angeles (UCLA).

In 1971, Siddiqui started his career at American Express Bank in Karachi. He later joined BMA Capital Management Limited, where he became the CEO and managed the company’s operations in Pakistan, Dubai, and London. In 1995, he founded Jahangir Siddiqui & Company Limited (JSCL), a financial services company that operates in Pakistan and the Middle East. Under his leadership, JSCL became one of the largest financial services firms in Pakistan, with interests in brokerage, investment banking, asset management, insurance, and private equity.

Siddiqui is also the founder of the Jahangir Siddiqui Foundation, a non-profit organization that works on various social welfare initiatives, including healthcare, education, and disaster relief. The foundation has established hospitals, schools, and vocational training centers across Pakistan.

In addition to his business and philanthropic activities, Siddiqui has served on various boards and committees, including the Board of Governors of the Karachi Stock Exchange and the National Commission for Human Development. He has also been recognized for his contributions to business and society with numerous awards, including the Sitara-e-Imtiaz, one of Pakistan’s highest civilian honors.
